A healer at heart, Vanashree has a holistic approach to living. She is Founder, Director HEAL Foundation and Educator for Anantaraa Arts-Based Therapy Course. HEAL Foundation has a vision “To heal and empower all beings with compassionate wisdom using creative and scientific means”. We seek to inspire and empower society by enabling participation for positive change. Towards this end HEAL Foundation has enabled professionals from NGOs such as Manav Foundation, SPARC Foundation, Institute of Exceptional Children, Muktangan etc to qualify as ABT Practitioners and make a positive change in at-risk and special needs populations

Vanashree is an Arts-Based Therapist working with special-needs as well as disadvantaged children & adults. She is a passionate story-teller and creatively employs visual arts and theatre techniques to bring about significant and sustainable shifts at a deeper level.

Vanashree is a PG Diploma holder in Counselling with distinction. She has trained in Jungian SandPlay Therapy with Association for Sand Play Therapy, California (currently training for international certification in SPT), is a Waldorf-Trained Teacher, Curative Educator & Eurythmist. Vanashree has practical and theoretical training in Buddhist Psychology and Philosophy. She is pursuing a PG Diploma in Buddhist Philosophy from Tibet House. As a student of Mingyur Rinpoche, she recently participated in 3rd year Mahamudra Teaching (methods of mindfulness meditation that provide the basis for looking at the true nature of mind). She is a Vipassana practitioner since 2003 and brings her self-experience in inner evolution into her workshops. In her earlier avatar, Vanashree is a Masters in Management Studies from S.P.Jain Institute of Management and Research. She has over 15 years of corporate experience working at FCB-Ulka, Faber Castell India and Pennzoil-Quaker State India before following her true calling.

Shraddha D. Vora is a Counselling Psychologist from Mumbai University. She is an Arts Based Therapy Practitioner and ABT Supervisor from WCCL Foundation, Pune. She has also done her Advanced Diploma in Counselling from Prafulta, Applied Buddhist psychology from ARTH and foundation course in art therapy from British Association of Art Therapy (BAAT). Currently, she is a doctorate student in Psychology researching in the area of personality disorders. She is highly passionate about art and has an extensive experience of working with diverse populations- children and adults with special needs, adults with mental illness, children and adolescents at risk and rehabilitation of mental illness clients using arts based therapies. She also conducts workshops and introspective art therapy sessions aimed at self-growth and wellbeing. Currently, she is associated with Prafulta counselling centre, Masina Hospital, NGOs working in the area of mental health and has her private practice at Khar.


Betty Abraham

Classroom Mentor, Anantaraa ABT Course Betty Abraham is committed to student success inside a classroom and in life; be it her SEN students or her teacher trainees. The dedication to her students is noticeable and reflects in the student feedbacks, she receives.

As an Arts Based Therapist, she is currently conducting sessions at an Inclusive school to help children overcome learning challenges and develop language skills with a focus on the English language. She also works with children using ABT on a one on one basis. She states that ABT helps her reach the deepest of depths and scale the highest of walls to connect to a child and help them.

Betty is also a visiting faculty at the Department of Special Education, SNDT Women's University among other institutions.

Betty is a certified practitioner of Arts Based Therapy (ABT), Sensory Enrichment Therapy (SET), Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) Brain Gym and Jolly Phonics. She is also trained in therapeutic interventions like Aquatics, Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI), Touch for Health, Waldorf (Rudolf Steiner) Education.

A crossword, word search activities and puzzles aficionado, she believes in continuously training the brain, engaging its characteristic neuroplastic nature to challenge and improve skills. As a hobby, she learns Ballroom dancing and the Djembe. Betty is also an American Heart Association certified Basic Life Support (BLS) provider.
